JORDAN BAKER
Jordan is a golfer—a professional golfer. Already, we know she's different from Daisy. Where Daisy is always fluttering and babbling and giggling and basically acting like a dumb girl (her words, not ours), Jordan is hard, direct, and cynical. And she's bored to tears. We don't know much about her family, except that she has "one aunt about a thousand years old" but we know that she and Daisy spent their "white girlhoods" together . Given the looks that Daisy and Tom give each other, we suspect that she might not be so "white" (as in, pure) anymore. - -Kayla Marsalis
Jordan Baker is a competitive golfer. I imagine her as a pale young woman with fair skin. She has a skinny build and is very mysterious. Miss Baker represents the new rebellious woman of the time. Nick has only just recently met her but is becoming attracted to the way she moves and her ominous personality. -AV
Jordan Baker is a competitive golfer and the best friend to Daisy Buchanan. She is tall and athletic with dark brown hair and even though Nick Caraway has only met her once he has already taken a liking to her. Jordan is a great representation of what the women were like in the 1920s. She was rebellious and lived on her own terms and she played in sports which was unlike women at the time. LW
Jordan Baker becomes a link between Gatsby and Daisy as well as Tom and Myrtle. She knows how much Jay wants daisy and that Daisy is being cheated on by tom with Myrtle. With all of this secret information, she decides to keep it all to herself so she does not get involved. -AV

Towards the end of the story, Jordan is faced with the reality that all of the hidden information she had kept inside has come out. The only plus to all of this new drama is that with her keeping it to herself, she is not involved at all. She is on the sideline watching this craziness happen. -AV
The second time that Nick meet Jordan was at Gatsby party. It was unexpected but it seemed like Jordan was watching him until she wanted to talk to him. She did not know a lot of people at the party, except the people she with. Jordan did not hang out with her group of friends at all that night, instead she kept Nick comapny.-LW
"You said a bad driver was only safe until she met another bad driver? Well, I met another bad driver, didn't I? I mean it was careless of me to make such a wrong guess. I thought you were rather an honest, straightforward person. I thought it was your secret pride."
"I'm thirty," I said. "I'm five years too old to lie to myself and call it honor." <-- said in ch.9 - Kayla Marsalis

In chapter 3, Jordan says,"And I like large parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy." Which is an interesting thought because you would think that at smaller parties they are more close-knit, so more intimate. Jordan is using intimate in the way of you can keep to yourself better at large parties and not have to worry about anyone else. -LW
