Green is the most significant color is this whole story. it has a whole different meaning than just the color green. -AV
Green also shows up, we think significantly, as the "long green tickets" that the rich kids of Chicago use as entry to their fabulous parties, the kind of parties where Daisy and Tom meet, and where Gatsby falls in love. So green does represent a kind of hope, but not always a good one.- Kayla Marsalis The color green to Gatsby represent Daisy. Nick saw Gatsby standing at the end of the dock one night reaching toward a green light. what was a reaching for and thinking about? -AV

Daisy, Daisy represents the green light. Nick later finds out why Gatsby was reaching out over the water. Jay was looking at Daisy's house and the green light at the end of the dock. It does not represent a just a light, but the relationship between Jay and Daisy and how close he is getting her back. -AV
In chapter 7, Michaelis describes the car that hit Myrtle as light green. When it was actually Gatsby's car and it was yellow. -LW
Early in chapter 7, Gatsby pats the interior of his car, which is made of green leather. Tom insists on driving his car so he can take in to Mr. Wilson. -LW Nick also describes the "fresh, green breast of the new world," the new world being this land as Nick imagines it existed hundreds of years before- Kayla Marsalis
Gatsby describes Daisy's voice as money, which is the color green. Gatsby uses this simile to describe what he thinks Daisy likes, even though Daisy is not interested in money, she likes genuine people. -LW
